Deleted Listing Policy

March 6, 2024

Under usual circumstances, RMLS does not delete MLS listings. Maintaining all listing history provides consistent representation of market events and deters abuses of DOM and listing history. Even data entry mistakes are representations of what happened with the MLS listing. RMLS will not delete a listing to erase history of a data entry mistake. With Director or Supervisor approval, RMLS may delete a listing under the following circumstances:

1.    Duplicate Listings (2 listings exist for the same property and the same time period)

2.    Incorrect category (when listing is reentered in correct category using previous market dates)

3.    No qualifying listing contract  (usually no signed listing contract – documentation required)

4.    Does not meet RMLS requirements (usually mobile home without land)

5.    Court Order

NOTE: RMLS logs deleted listing and the reason for the deletion
