Under NorthstarMLS rules, a one time showing contract does not meet our requirements for a listing entry.
The different types of listing agreements include: (a) Exclusive right to sell; (b) Exclusive agency; (c) Open; (d) Non-agency service agreements.
So, while a one time showing agreement can give an agent permission to enter the sale, it does not conform to contracts we accept for entry. Agents would, in the case of entering the listing as a normal sale, still need to get a listing agreement and listing input form signed by the sellers.
In the case of entering a comp sold, agents would need the buyer’s permission to enter it. That permission can be given with the buyers signing a completed listing input form.
