NorthstarMLS Participation/Waiver

Per Section 2.1 of NorthstarMLS Rules; Any REALTOR®, who is a principal, partner, corporate officer, or trustee, of a real estate brokerage firm, who holds a current, valid Minnesota or Wisconsin real estate broker’s license or holds a valid Minnesota or Wisconsin appraiser’s license shall be eligible to participate in the MLS.   Every licensed agent in the participants office must be an MLS subscriber unless there is an approved waiver.

In compliance with National Association of REALTORS® policy, the Association will provide participants the option of a no-cost waiver of MLS access for any licensee or licensed or certified appraiser who can demonstrate subscription to a different MLS or CIE where the principal broker participates. The Association will require that broker participants sign a certification for nonuse of its MLS services by their licensees, which can include penalties and termination of the waiver if violated.

NOTE 1: Any subscriber who has opt out of NorthstarMLS may not have access to or input their listings into the MLS; Nor shall the Participant input the listings of their subscribers that have waivered out of the MLS.
