Point Out these Down Payment Resource Opportunities to Your Clients

As a NorthstarMLS subscriber, you are probably very familiar with how DPR turns home searchers into homeowners. There are over 2,000 homebuyer assistance programs available across the country, but many consumers don’t know they exist, let alone where to find them.

DPR helps you connect your buyers with the down payment help they need. A NorthstarMLS core member service, the DPR icon flags MLS listings in Matrix that qualify for one or more homebuyer programs.

While DPR also integrates with Matrix client portal OneHome, it isn’t featured as prominently as it is in Matrix. Instead of being placed at the top of the listing, it appears much lower as a link in the “Links to More Information” section below the Tax Information section, where it may get missed by your buyers.

While we are working with our vendors to make DPR easier to find in OneHome, encourage your buyers to look for this link and explore the assistance opportunities that exist.

DPR works with Housing Finance Agencies, municipalities, nonprofits and other housing organizations across the country to help spread awareness of homebuyer programs and to keep program details current on the DPR platform.

Find these programs (and more) when using DPR:

• Home loans: competitive interest rates, below-market interest rates, 100% financing, no mortgage insurance and more
• Down payment and closing cost programs
• Grants for down payments, which do not have to be repaid
• Mortgage Credit Certificates (MCCs): up to $2,000 in annual tax credits that are good for the life of the loan
