March 13, 2026

The results are in!

Thank you to the thousands of NorthstarMLS subscribers who participated in the 2025 MLS Subscriber Survey.

We are pleased to share that the 2025 results show improvement across every category compared to last year, including:

These results reflect the value you, our subscribers, place on the MLS and the progress we are making together to strengthen the tools and services that support your business.

The survey also included thousands of comments and suggestions. We carefully review this feedback because it helps guide where we focus on improvements. Many of the changes and initiatives underway today are a direct result of what you shared.

You Said. We Did.

On our social media, we highlighted examples of how subscriber feedback is shaping MLS improvements through a series called You Said. We Did.

This series covered topics such as:

  • Communication

  • Security

  • Training

  • Technology

You Said: Improve Communication.

In this year’s NorthstarMLS Subscriber Survey, many subscribers shared feedback about communication. There were numerous comments about wanting clearer and more consistent updates about MLS changes and system alerts.

You said:
Communication about updates and system changes should be more consistent and easier to find.

We did:
Strengthened the NorthstarMLS Dashboard as the central starting point for MLS access.

You may have noticed that access to your MLS System now begins through the dashboard instead of going directly into those platforms. This change was designed to address several areas of subscriber feedback.

Benefits of the dashboard include:

  • Consistent communication and updates
Important system alerts, notices, and training information appear in one place for every subscriber no matter which MLS system you use.

  • Improved account security
The dashboard allows stronger security protections for MLS access. Data protection is our top priority.
  • Central hub for MLS tools
Matrix, Flex, training resources, and other MLS tools are accessible from a single location.

We understand that workflow changes can take time to adjust to. Our goal is to make MLS access more secure while ensuring you receive the information you need to stay informed.

Your feedback continues to guide how we improve the MLS experience.

You Said: More NorthstarMLS Training and Practical Tips

In the 2025 NorthstarMLS Subscriber Survey, many subscribers shared feedback about training and education. While many subscribers value the training resources already available, we also heard you want learning opportunities that are easier to access and more focused on the real work you do.

You said:
“I would like more short tips or quick videos showing how to do specific tasks.”
“Show real examples of how agents use MLS tools in their day-to-day work.”
“More training options that fit into a busy schedule.”
“More opportunities for training through our association or brokerage.”

We did:
We are expanding how and where MLS training is delivered.

Here are several initiatives now underway:

  • Monthly webinar series with expanded topics
Our monthly webinars will continue, with more sessions focused on practical use cases and real workflow examples such as managing listings, working with clients, and using MLS tools more efficiently.

  • Microlearning video library
We are developing a growing database of short microlearning videos designed to answer common questions quickly. These short lessons will make it easier to find quick answers without attending a full class.
  • Did You Know social media series
We are launching a new “Did You Know” series on social media that will highlight quick tips, lesser-known features, and helpful MLS shortcuts.
  • Expanded association partnerships
We are increasing the number of training classes delivered in partnership with local associations to make MLS education more accessible across the region.
  • More brokerage training visits
Our training team is expanding brokerage visits to provide customized sessions focused on the tools agents use most.

Our goal is to make MLS training easier to access, more practical, and more aligned with how you actually work.

Thank you for continuing to share feedback that helps shape how we support subscribers.

You Said: NorthstarMLS Should Work Better on Mobile

In the 2025 NorthstarMLS Subscriber Survey, many subscribers shared feedback about technology and mobile access. You increasingly rely on your phones and tablets while working with clients, showing homes, and managing listings in the field.

You said:
“I need MLS tools that work well when I am on my phone.”
“Searching listings on mobile should be easier.”
“I want to be able to work with clients and listings while I am out showing homes.”
“The MLS should be at my fingertips.”

We did:
We continue to work closely with our technology vendors to improve mobile tools and client collaboration features.

Watch for these enhancements coming soon:

  • MLS-Touch improvements
MLS-Touch is being updated to elevate the Matrix mobile experience. These upgrades are designed to make searching, sharing listings and working with clients easier from your phone or tablet.

  • OneHome consumer experience
The OneHome client portal and consumer app continues to improve the way agents collaborate with buyers and sellers. Your clients can view listings, save properties and communicate with their agent in one streamlined experience.

  • Tuesday mobile expansion
The Tuesday app is expanding with the launch of an Android version, allowing all subscribers to access the platform on their preferred mobile devices.

Our goal is simple. MLS tools should be accessible wherever you work. Whether you are in the office, in the car between showings, or standing at a front door with a client, NorthstarMLS should be at your fingertips.

Thank you for continuing to share feedback that helps guide how we improve MLS technology.

You Said: Accurate MLS Data Matters

Throughout the 2025 NorthstarMLS Subscriber Survey, one theme came through clearly. Accurate and reliable MLS data remains the most important value the MLS provides.

Subscribers also shared many positive comments about the quality of the NorthstarMLS database and the role you play in maintaining it.

You said:
“The MLS is the backbone of my business.”
“The data in NorthstarMLS is reliable and more complete than other platforms.”
“Accurate MLS data helps me serve my clients better.”
“Thank you for continuing to protect the integrity of the MLS.”
“Everyone needs to do their part to keep the data clean.”

We did:
Continue focusing on data quality, accuracy and completeness while supporting you, the professionals who make that possible.

Maintaining a strong MLS is a shared responsibility. Every listing entered, every field completed, and every update made by subscribers contributes to a more valuable MLS for everyone.

High-quality data does more than support agents. It helps create a more transparent and equitable marketplace for consumers. When listing information is accurate and complete, buyers and sellers can make better-informed decisions and have greater confidence in the real estate process.

NorthstarMLS continues to support this work through:

  • Meeting evolving data and compliance standards

  • Providing tools that help improve listing accuracy and completeness

  • Offering training and guidance to support best practices for data entry

  • Collaborating with brokers, agents and associations to maintain high standards

The survey also showed improvement in leadership and direction scores this year. That progress reflects NorthstarMLS’ continued commitment to listening and responding to subscriber feedback.

Thousands of comments submitted through the survey help guide our priorities and improvements. Many of the changes highlighted in this You Said. We Did. series came directly from the feedback subscribers shared.

Your participation, professionalism and attention to data quality help make the MLS more valuable for the entire real estate community and for the consumers you serve.

Thank you for your partnership and for helping us continue to strengthen the MLS.
